    Marriage Week Day 5
Geschreven op zaterdag 13 februari 2010 - door: Peter Vlug

Today was the official mourning ceremony in Haiti. Catholics, Protestants and Voodoo bishops held a big church event together. They all united as one great church, but not mine.

This Friday night is the opening evening of carnival, an also very religious celebration with lots of sex, drugs, and rock and roll. And this same night the world celebrates in unity as one big Olympic family around a great fire, singing Hallelujah.

But this was not the unity that King Jesus meant when He prayed that we shall be as one.

The world worships the gladiators. The rulers of the world give the multitudes bread and games, and they all worship the earthly idols; fire, sports and mankind.

“This world is not my home; I am just passing by.”

Tonight we had a time of prayer for the Marriage Week prayer time and we cried out to God, the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Father of King Jesus. We begged Him to pour out His Holy Spirit to lead us not in temptation, but to deliver us from evil.

We asked King Jesus to train us, preparing us for His army, so that we may stand against all dark worldly powers, and so that we overcome this tribulation and rule with Him forever and ever. Amen.
